I have been in the DSM scene for a few years now and I have learned a lot about these cars and the people in DSM scene. I have owned quite a few 1G DSMs over the years. I have owned FWD & AWD 1Gs, I like the AWD hands down.I have owned Talons,Lasers,Eclipses (all 1gs),GVR4 and an EVO. I have learned the hardway (wasted cash & time) believing everything I heard how to make these car perform well and who to do the work. My advice to anyone is to set a budget and remember stick to it (very important).
Do not buy OEM parts from Metro Mitsubishi (Bloomington), they are the most overpriced dealer and not a friendly place to do business after you buy a car from them (trust me I have had numerous bad experiences with them). Go to Wayzata Mitsubishi or Brookdale Mitsu for parts and tell them you are a member of MN-DSM and you will receive a discount.
